First Boarder Patrol

[swiftstream]

Mistedflower scented the air. There were no signes of intruding cats yet, and she had taken Featherpaw to the scent marker. "Do you scent the other clan?" she asked. "It's Ravenclan scent. Remember it well."

[Wildshadow]

Featherpaw opened her mouth, and tasted the air. an unfamiliar scent of cats came to her. "RavenClan...." Featherpaw mentally repeated, making sure to remember the scent.

[swiftstream]

Mistedflower began traveling along the border, and refreshed one of the scent markers. "You gotta refresh the scent markers once or twice a day to challenge intruders." she said.

[Wildshadow]

"okay..." Featherpaw mewed. "...do boarder patrols get to eat something if they catch it, while on patrol, or not?" asked the young she-cat.

[swiftstream]

"Yes, they get to eat something as long as they are not hunting for there clan. You hungry?" asked Mistedflower.

[Wildshadow]

"no, just asking out of curiousity...." featherpaw explained to Mistedflower, as they continued on their boarder patrol.

[swiftstream]

They than got to were Abyssclan and Mourningclan territories met.
"This scent is Abyssclan scent. Remember it well." said Mistedflower. She went over to a scent marker an refreshed it. Sudenly, a badger came out from the bushes. Mistedflower got into a hunters crowch. The thing was downwind... she thought. She shot a warning glance over to Featherpaw, telling her not to do anything stupid. Mistedflower than hissed at the badger, as it glared over to Featherpaw.

featherpaw had been scenting AbyssClan, when she heard something behind her. she turned around to find Mistedflower about to fight a badger. Featherpaw hissed at the lumbering black and white beast.

[swiftstream]

The badger glared at Mistedflower, as it started running at her. Mistedflower jumped over it, and clawed at its back. The badger swatted at Mistedflower, pushing her back and terring her skin. Mistedflower jumped back at the badger and bit its neck, terring the skin and almost killed it. The badger knocked Mistedflower off, and backed away, anly to run towards Featherpaw.

Featherpaw junged to the side of the badger, landing on it's shoulder. it reached for her, but she climbed onto it's back, and started clawing at the badger's back. the badger pushed his back up against a tree, to squish Featherpaw. Featherpaw let go of the badger, and fell to the ground. the impact had knocked the wind out of her for a few second. featherpaw stood up, on shakey legs, and hissed at the badger.

Mistedflower ran at the badger, and jumped over it again,to land on its back. She scared it off by bitting where she had before. The badger ran off, and Mistedflower went over to Featherpaw. "Are you alright?" she asked.

"i'm fine." Featherpaw mewed, keeping her voice steady. she felt pain comming from her back, but it didn't seem to be bleeding. she licked some of hur ruffled fur, and made it lie flat. "shall we continue the patrol?" the apperentice asked Mistedflower.

[swiftstream]

"Lets get back to camp, and have our mdicine cat take a look at what the badger did." said Mistedflower. Fore some strange reason, she didn't believe what her apprentice was saying. Mistedflower saw a bit of pain in Featherpaws' eyes.

Featherpaw bit back a remark, and forced herself to nod in agreement. she was fine, and didn't want to have to go back to the camp. she clawed at the soft ground, wishing she had been the one to drive the badger away.
